Families of elementary and middle school students can start registering now for Beyond the Bell and Club B, a set of fun and engaging after-school programs in Tacoma Public Schools.  

Session 1 details:  

• Registration is open now for elementary and middle school students on a staggered schedule by school name. See program descriptions and register on Compass.   

• Session 1 dates: Sept. 15. – Nov. 14 

Beyond the Bell activities, for students in kindergarten through 5th grade, take place at all of Tacoma’s elementary schools from the end of the school day to 5:45 p.m., Monday-Friday. Pricing is flexible, based on your family’s need. 

Club B activities, for students in grades 6-8, take place from 2:15-4:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday at middle schools and community sites.  

Changes to Club B  

Some Club B locations will change this fall:  

• Bryant Montessori students in grades 6-8 will attend programming at Al Davies Boys & Girls Club 

• Students from Gray Middle School will attend programming at Schatz Boys & Girls Club 

• Students from First Creek Middle School will attend programming at Eastside Community Center 

• Wainwright Intermediate School students in grades 6-8 will attend programming at Hunt Middle School 

To continue providing enriching activities, a $15 per activity fee per student will be introduced this session. This fee supports high-quality programming and staff for teens’ after school experience.  

Club B programs remain affordable, thanks to a host of community funding partners including Tacoma Creates, City of Tacoma, Greentrike, Parks Tacoma, Tacoma Public Schools and private philanthropy.
