Last week, Geiger Montessori held its annual Peace Day Assembly — a beautiful tradition of music, art, and community. This year, students from Hunt Middle School’s dance class walked over and performed two moving routines they choreographed in just three class periods — one to Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole’s “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and the other to Sam Smith’s “To Be Free.”

Geiger students also filled the room with song, from all students joining in on “Hello to All the Children of the World” to the choir’s performances, including an original piece titled “Cranes for Peace.”

Students proudly displayed a peace banner filled with messages of hope and a long chain of hundreds of paper cranes, honoring the spirit of the day.
